„FUDOSHIN, NEHYBNÁ MYSL, JE JAKO KLIDNÁ HLADINA, ZRCADLÍCÍ NEPOKŘIVENĚ REALITU. UMOŽŇUJE VŽDY VČAS A SPRÁVNĚ REAGOVAT V JAKÉKOLIV ŽIVOTNÍ SITUACI. PRAVIDELNÉ CVIČENÍ AIKIDO JE JEDEN Z NEJLEPŠÍCH ZPŮSOBŮ, JAK SI FUDOSHIN OSVOJIT.”

ACF history

Aikidó Centrum Fudóshin (ACF) is a private aikido club that has been in existence since the beginning of 1992. The club dojo is situated in the building of TJ SOKOL Bubeneč, Korunovační street 29, Prague. Presently it is running two adult classes daily (including friday morning class) and two youth classes weekly.

Many students came through ACF during its existence, but a solid line-up of about 80 people persists. Several students who started in the club from scratch have already reached „master degree“: there is 1 holder of 5th DAN, 3 holders of 3rd DAN, 5 holders of 2nd DAN, and 11 holders of 1st DAN at the moment. Some of these advanced students became instructors and help with teaching others.

The club is an established member of Slovak Aikido Association (SAA), recognized by Aikikai Foundation. Technical director of the SAA is Sensei Michele Quaranta (6th DAN) from Switzerland who initially was an assistant to the former Shihan, japanese master Masatomi Ikeda (7th DAN). Following a serious illness of Ikeda Shihan and his resignation from the technical director office in 2002 we carry on with his aikido teaching concepts and we keep using the examination system which he created.
